Yoga Studio Brings Fitness and Wellness to the Heart of Downtown Akron

Akron Yoga and Wellness invites downtown Akron employees, clients and surrounding community members to join its staff for a weekend-long grand opening celebration from Friday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 15 at its studio located off West Mill Street in Akron.

The festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13. Akron Yoga and Wellness will welcome attendees with refreshments and encourage individuals to return to the studio for a grand opening party at 5:30 p.m.
“We’re so excited to welcome the community to our space,” said Tracie Zamiska, owner of Akron Yoga and Wellness. “Our choice to be part of the downtown community was not an accident. We want to be a part of this thriving community and see the potential for building a place to breathe and find some stress relief and wellness in the downtown core. Our staff has anticipated this moment since early May 2017, when we opened the studio.”

Zamiska and her team of yoga instructors will offer refreshments, raffle tickets, special class packages, local and handmade goods and other merchandise during the grand opening party. Similar sales will apply all weekend long.
“Our grand opening weekend offers an opportunity to sample our class styles and teachers to experience all we have to offer,” Zamiska said. “We have several awesome raffle prizes; 50 percent of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve. We welcome everyone to our community and thank you for the opportunity to serve you!”

Saturday, Oct. 13 will feature a full day of donations-based classes, from which all proceeds will benefit Boys and Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve. Special events, such as Yoga + Brunch at Sweet Mary’s Bakery and a beginner yoga workshop at the studio, will round out the weekend that Sunday.

“Yoga can benefit every BODY, regardless of your current flexibility and fitness level,” Zamiska explained. “Our community is comprised of many desk workers from the downtown core who experience many benefits like stress relief, better core strength, better balance and relief from the aches and pains that sitting and stress cause, such as sore necks, backs, shoulders and hips. We would love to let others experience just what yoga can do for you!”
The drop-in price for all classes at Akron Yoga and Wellness from Monday, Oct. 9 through Friday, Oct. 13 will be $5. For a full list of grand opening celebration details, including class times and pricing specials, please visit http://www.bewellakronyoga.com/grand-opening-celebrations.
