Summit Brew Path Raises a Glass to 10 Years of Craft Beer in Summit County
AKRON, OH (Jan. 2, 2026) — The Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (ASCVB) is proud to announce the launch of its 10th annual Summit Brew Path, kicking off Jan. 3, 2026. Celebrating a decade of craft beer, the Summit Brew Path’s milestone year will feature special surprises throughout 2026 to commemorate its 10-year legacy.
Since its launch, the Summit Brew Path has evolved into a signature experience that showcases Summit County’s craft beer scene and the passionate breweries behind it. The 2026 anniversary edition continues that tradition, inviting participants to explore 18 breweries across Summit County. Participants can begin their journey in one of two ways: 1) Pick up a printed passport at any participating location, or 2) Access the digital passport by visiting summitbrewpath.com.
To earn a stamp, participants must visit each brewery and make a purchase. Those who collect stamps from all 18 locations and submit their passports will officially complete the Summit Brew Path. Participants must be 21 years of age or older.
As part of the experience, participants who submit a completed passport will be entered for a chance to win one of three cash prizes:
- Golden Growler: $1,000
- Silver Stein: $500
- Pint Prize: $250
Everyone who completes the Summit Brew Path will also be invited to the 2026 Summit Brew Path Bash, an exclusive celebration honoring both participants and breweries. The Bash features tastings from participating breweries, prize giveaways, backyard games, food, friends and plenty of fun.
“It’s hard to believe the Summit Brew Path is already marking its 10th anniversary, and we’re incredibly proud of how the program has grown over the years,” said Gregg Mervis, president and CEO of the ASCVB. “The continued support of local breweries by participants has helped build a strong, connected hospitality community across Summit County.”
The Summit Brew Path continues to see strong participation year after year. In 2025, more than 1,700 completed passports were submitted to the ASCVB, and the Brew Path Bash welcomed over 1,600 attendees.
