Suzie Graham, President & CEO

Suzie mobilizes positive partnerships and oversees the design and implementation of programs and services to address the needs of the neighborhood and improve its vitality.  She facilitates efforts to enhance and promote downtown as an economic driver, hub for arts and culture, guardian of social equity, community gathering space and keeper of the city's sense of place.  She works closely with government, corporate, education, non-profit, human services and small business stakeholders.  Prior to her work with DAP, Suzie served the city of Akron for 18 years including coordinating Arts and Children's programs for the Office of the Mayor.  An Akron native, Suzie is honored to serve on the board of directors for Akron Roundtable and Development Finance Authority.  She is a graduate of Leadership Akron Class 29, recipient of the 2011 Human Values Award and 2012 GAR Glass Half Full Award.

Kimberly Beckett, Director of Business Relations

Kimberly works closely with downtown stakeholders through one-on-one business retention surveys and visits, quarterly retail visits and district meetings. Additionally, she supports business development activities, downtown planning initiatives and public space planning and activation.  Kimberly received her bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison and masters in public administration at the University of Akron.

Kelli Fetter, Director of Engagement & Events

Kelli oversees the outreach efforts of DAP by planning innovative programs and events that engage downtown workers, visitors and residents. She has several years of experience in event coordination at the University of Akron and as a board member for the Akron Alumnae of Delta Gamma. Kelli earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing management and a master’s degree in higher education administration from the University of Akron.

Sharon Gillberg, Communications Director

Sharon manages DAP’s marketing, public relations, social media and advertising initiatives and provides support for DAP events and programs. A native of Indiana who relocated to Akron in 1999, Sharon has been involved in event management and marketing for more than 15 years with non-profit trade associations and event/exposition companies. Sharon earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University majoring in advertising and public relations.

Holly Mattucci, Director of Finance

Holly has been the business manager at Downtown Akron Partnership for 15 years. She has more than 25 years of experience in financial management, bookkeeping, office management and internal auditing. She is a member of the National Bookkeepers Association.

Christine Vadala, Director of Business Development

Christine works with entrepreneurs who want to start or expand their business in downtown Akron. She manages the pop up retail program that aims to fill vacant property space with local clients to promote economic development and downtown vibrancy. As an entrepreneur in her own right, Christine became familiar with the cosmetic industry and created an Akron-based, private label personal care manufacturing company, launching a patented color cosmetic line. She is a graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in journalism and has worked for Malone Advertising, The Coca-Cola company and Mary Kay.

Clean & Safe Ambassador Program

Darrell Stamps, Operations Manager

Darrell became operations manager of the Clean and Safe Ambassador program in April 2015. He joined DAP 10 years ago as one of the original Operation Neat Streets team, transitioning to the Clean & Safe Ambassador program in 2009 with the launch of that program. He is responsible for the oversight and administration of day-to-day operations and training of DAP's ambassadors.
