Suzie Graham, president & CEO

Suzie mobilizes positive partnerships and oversees the design and implementation of programs and services to address the needs of the neighborhood and improve its vitality.  She facilitates efforts to enhance and promote downtown as an economic driver, hub for arts and culture, guardian of social equity, community gathering space and keeper of the city's sense of place. She works closely with government, corporate, education, non-profit, human services and small business stakeholders. Prior to her work with DAP, Suzie served the city of Akron for 18 years including coordinating Arts and Children's programs for the Office of the Mayor. An Akron native, Suzie is honored to serve on the board of directors for Akron Roundtable and Development Finance Authority. She is a graduate of Leadership Akron Class 29, recipient of the 2011 Human Values Award and 2012 GAR Glass Half Full Award.

Kimberly Beckett, director of business relations

Kimberly works closely with downtown stakeholders through one-on-one business retention surveys and visits, quarterly retail visits and district meetings. Additionally, she supports business development activities, downtown planning initiatives and public space planning and activation. Kimberly received her bachelor's degree from University of Wisconsin-Madison and masters in public administration at the University of Akron.

LaTonda Belcher, operations consultant

Latonda Belcher provides administrative support to the Downtown Akron Partnership and ambassador team. She comes to Akron from Columbus, Ohio where she worked in sales and account management for Cardinal Health. She is also a member of the Akron Pride Committee.

Jane Douglas, retail consultant

Jane joined the team in 2017 and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Northside Marketplace. She provides vendor on-boarding, business coaching and supports social media initiatives. Jane brings experience in customer service, sales and leadership training, and district management having worked in the retail pharmacy environment for more than 10 years. She is passionate about helping small and micro-business owners in their journey from a cottage/home-based environment to a brick-and-mortar incubation retail space such as the marketplace and beyond. Jane has a degree from The Ohio State University.   

Laura Engle, director of business development

Laura joined the DAP team in May 2019 and coordinates, collaborates and manages business development efforts in downtown Akron, including the pop-up retail program. As a business professional with a passion for growth in downtown Akron, she brings experience in entrepreneurial, local small business and non-profit environments. Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Kent State University.

Kelli Fetter, director of engagement & events

Kelli joined Downtown Akron Partnership in March 2014. She oversees the outreach efforts of DAP by planning innovative programs and events that engage downtown workers, visitors and residents. She is DAP's representative on the committees for Reimagining the Civic Commons, and community festivals and events. She is a member of the Torchbearers Class of 2017 and serves on the Board of Directors for Summit Choral Society. Kelli earned a bachelor's degree in marketing management and a master's degree in higher education administration from the University of Akron.

David Hunting, operations manager, DAP ambassadors

David joined the Clean and Safe Ambassador program as operations manager in May 2019. In this role, he is responsible for the oversight and administration of day-to-day operations and training of DAP ambassadors and manages the ambassador program at The University of Akron. Prior to DAP, David was in restaurant management for more than 30 years overseeing more than 60 locations. He joins the team with extensive management and leadership skills to utilize and share with the clean and safe team.
