Free Admission Offered for Summit County Residents
August 18, 2025, AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is offering its annual Community Days for Summit County residents. During the months of September, residents can reserve free tickets to visit the zoo as a thank you for their continued support of the Akron Zoo.
There is a limited number of tickets available each day and there is a limit of four tickets per household. Tickets must be reserved online in advance at akronzoo.org/community-days. Residents must create an account and enter a valid Summit County address to receive the discount. Parking is free.
The Akron Zoo has offered Community Days since 2001 after the first zoo levy passed in Summit County.
The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Peak season hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission rates are $11 – $21. Children under two are free and parking is free. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
