Summit County Encouraged to Show Local Pride on 330 Shirt Day
AKRON, OH (March 26, 2026) – The Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (ASCVB) is calling on residents and businesses across Summit County to show off their hometown pride on 330 Shirt Day, Monday, March 30, 2026.
Celebrated each year on March 30, 330 Shirt Day is a county-wide initiative that encourages locals to represent the 330 by sporting their favorite Summit County-themed apparel. From neighborhood restaurants and coffee shops to local bands, schools, sports teams and breweries, this is a chance to celebrate everything that makes the community special.
Whether you’re repping a longtime favorite or picking up something new, 330 Shirt Day is also a great way to support local businesses. Apparel shops, makers and retailers across Summit County play an important role in the region’s tourism and hospitality economy; an industry that drives jobs, visitor spending and overall economic impact throughout the county.
On March 30, wear your gear to work, school or wherever your day takes you, snap a selfie or photos with friends and coworkers, then share your 330 pride on social media.
The ASCVB is featuring three categories for 2026:
- Best Individual Photo: Snap a photo highlighting your shirt. The most creative and fun photo will win a $330 Prize Package!
- Best Group Photo: You're encouraged to wear your gear to work (check with your employer first!) and take team photos. The ASCVB will make a $100 donation to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank in the winning organization's honor.
- Pet Prize: New this year, pets can join the fun, too! Post a photo of your pet dressed in 330 gear for a chance to win a $25 gift card to a local pet store.
To be eligible for the contests and a chance to win prizes, participants must follow the guidelines. Photos must:
- Include a person (or your pet) wearing a 330 area, locally themed shirt
- Post a photo on Facebook, Instagram or X on March 30, 2026
- Use #330ShirtDay in the post
“330 Shirt Day is about celebrating the pride people have in Summit County and the places that make it memorable,” said Gregg Mervis, president and CEO of the ASCVB. “It’s a fun and unique way to support local businesses, highlight our community and showcase where we live and work.”
Winners will be announced on social media following the event. For full rules and more information on the contest, visit: visitakron-summit.org/330-shirt-day/
