4th Annual Downtown Akron Fall Fest to Bring Trick-or-Treat to Main Street October 18
October 3, 2025, Akron, Ohio — Downtown Akron Partnership (DAP) is pleased to announce that the Downtown Akron Fall Fest will return for its fourth year of kid-oriented, Halloween-themed fun on Saturday, October 18, from 4 to 7 pm along Main Street and in Locks 3 and 4.
DAP President and CEO Kimberly Beckett says, "Downtown Akron Fall Fest is a fun, family friendly celebration, welcoming people from all over our community to enjoy a fun, safe trick or treating adventure, continuing to support the message that downtown is the heart of our community and a place to gather together for moments of shared joy."
Trick-or-treat stations will be presented by various local businesses and organizations, including the City of Akron Recreation and Parks, METRO RTA, the County of Summit ADM Board, Bar Phoenix & The Phoenix Room, Insomnia Cookies, 3Six92, The Lockview, United States Air Force, Akron Children’s Police Department, National Youth Advocate Program, Summit County Children’s Services, UAkronPark and Akron History Center, with more expected to join. At the trick-or-treat stations, nonedible trinkets will be available for those who have food allergies, in alignment with the Teal Pumpkin Project.
In addition to trick-or-treat stations, free crafts and activities will be open to all. These include themed coloring, s’mores roasting, face painting, a photobooth, a spooky train ride through Lock 4, a costume contest, photo opportunities with beloved fictional characters and a Zombie Dance Party with JustUs Line Dance Crew. Visitors can also look forward to PBS Western Reserve’s Play Path, featuring hands-on games and seasonal activities inspired by their favorite PBS KIDS. Local band Wishgarden will perform on the Lock 3 stage at 5:30 pm. Food trucks will be onsite offering meals and refreshments.
