Clothing Drive Scheduled to Benefit Akron Municipal Court Litigants
Akron, Ohio, July 8, 2025 – In conjunction with the Akron Municipal Court’s newly established dress code policy, Court staffers will be accepting gently used, clean clothing to benefit adults with hearings in the courthouse later this summer.
Having donated clothing readily available will allow men and women to appear in court without interruption if his or her attire does not match the dress code policy implemented by Administrative/Presiding Judge David Hamilton.
Clean, gently used, like new professional clothing for men and women of all sizes can be dropped off during the following dates and times:
- Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until Noon
The designated drop-off location will be on the east curb lane of High Street from Bowery to Church Street in Downtown Akron. Staff will be outdoors in the designated area ensuring donors will not need to exit their vehicle.
