Bounce Innovation Hub Announces New Board Leadership Effective January 2026
Akron, OH – 1/20/2026 — Bounce Innovation Hub announced today new leadership roles on its Board of Directors, unanimously approved at the organization’s December 10, 2025 meeting and effective January 2026.
Doug Weintraub, serial entrepreneur and investor, has been elected Chair of the Board of Directors. Weintraub previously served as Bounce’s first Chief Executive Officer from January 2018 through December 2022 and has spent the past three years as a Director on the Board. His appointment reflects both leadership continuity and Bounce’s long-term vision for sustainable growth.
“I’ve had the privilege of being part of Bounce since its earliest days, and this role is about supporting the next phase of the organization’s work,” said Weintraub. “Jessica and the team are building something real for the region and for the innovation ecosystem, and my focus as Chair is to help remove barriers, stay disciplined on strategy, and make sure we follow through on what we say we’re going to do.”
After four years of service as Chair, Hans Dorfi will transition into the role of Immediate Past Chair. Dorfi’s tenure as Chair coincided with a period of organizational growth and expanded regional impact, including Bounce’s entrepreneurial & innovation leadership role within the Polymer Industry Cluster. Bounce extends its sincere appreciation for his service and continued engagement.

Additionally, Laura Bennett, serial entrepreneur and co-founder of Embrace Pet Insurance, has been elected Vice Chair of the Board. Bennett brings extensive experience in building and scaling high-growth companies and will play a key role in supporting Bounce’s strategic priorities moving forward.
