Summit Sweet Stroll Returns for a Second Year of Sweet Adventures Across Summit County
AKRON, OH (June 10, 2026) – Popcorn! Peanuts! Candy! The Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau (ASCVB) is excited to announce the return of the Summit Sweet Stroll on June 13, 2026. The stroll is a deliciously fun way to explore Summit County one scoop, handful and sweet treat at a time.
Back for its second year, the Summit Sweet Stroll invites participants to discover 21 local candy shops, ice cream parlors, popcorn stores and confectionery destinations across Summit County. Whether you're revisiting a longtime favorite or satisfying your sweet tooth somewhere new, the stroll offers plenty of opportunities to indulge while supporting local businesses.
The fun begins by picking up a passport at any Summit Sweet Stroll location, then participants need to make a purchase to earn a stamp on their passport. Those who collect stamps from at least 16 participating stores will have finished their passports. Upon completion, submit passports to the ASCVB offices and receive the limited-edition candy jar, along with an entry into the Grand Prize Package – a $250 value!

With stops spread throughout Summit County, the Summit Sweet Stroll offers the perfect excuse to hit the road, discover hidden gems and enjoy a little sugar-coated adventure. Great for a family outing, a weekend road trip, or an afternoon with friends, the experience encourages participants to try something new and create sweet memories throughout the area.
The Summit Sweet Stroll also has a digital version of the passport. Participants can choose to complete the stroll with either the digital or printed version, then submit it to the ASCVB. Combinations will not be accepted.
