Summit Artspace Announces Partnership with Akron Bazaar and Lock 3 for Holiday Market on Artists Sunday Weekend – November 28, 29, and 30
Akron, OHIO (Nov 13, 2025) — Summit Artspace is partnering with Akron Bazaar and Lock 3> to present its annual holiday market which takes place the weekend after Thanksgiving. The event opens on Black Friday evening, November 28, from 5 to 9 pm at Lock 3 (200 S. Main St., Akron, Ohio 44308). Additional dates are Small Business Saturday, November 29, from 10 am to 4 pm and Artists Sunday, November 30, from 10 am to 4 pm.
Lock 3 in partnership with Summit Artspace and Akron Bazaar will host more than 60 local arts and crafts vendors throughout the Lock 3 park buildings to encourage visitors to purchase art as unique gifts this holiday season.
Champion local artists and promote the giving of art this holiday season. Shop with our participating resident artists and vendors from Akron Bazaar.

Artists Sunday—the Sunday after Thanksgiving—is a national campaign dedicated to supporting artists and recognizing how they enrich our lives, communities, and the economy. It was created in 2020 to encourage people to shop with artists and buy art as gifts during the holidays. More than 500 communities across the U.S. will champion local artists and promote the giving of the arts this holiday season.

Akron Bazaar features the best local and regional makers with a wide variety of handmade goods. This event is the younger sister of Cleveland Bazaar, which has been hosting these kinds of popups since 2004.
About Lock 3
Lock 3 is located next to the Akron Civic Theatre on Main Street downtown and is Akron's home for family-fun entertainment throughout the year.
Since its opening in 2003, Lock 3 has hosted more than 2 million visitors. From May through September, Lock 3 features weekend concerts under the open skies. Akron's biggest festivals, a large number of community events, and the City of Akron's official 4th of July fireworks display are hosted in Lock 3.
Winter is also a blast at Lock 3, with a host of attractions, including two seasonal outdoor ice-skating rinks, ice bumper cars and more. Winter at Lock 3 kicks off with the Welcome Santa Parade, followed by the lighting of the City's tree and fireworks.

Make it festive and merry at Akron Soul Train! Join us Artists Sunday Weekend to celebrate local creativity featuring new AIR exhibitions, select artists’ work for sale, a hot cocoa bar, and paper snowflake making for all ages. Warm up, shop small, and spread a little holiday art magic! Akron Soul Train will be open November 29 - 30, from 10 am – 4 pm. Located at 191 S. Main Street, Akron, OH 44308.
Art x Love will be open for Small Business Saturday and Artist Sunday from 10am–4pm. They will have more than 30 artists’ artwork on display for sale in the gallery. Art x Love is located at 35 S Main St, Akron, OH 44308.
