Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau promotes “Wear Your 330 Shirt to Work Day” on March 30

The day celebrates 330 pride through a dress down day while promoting local businesses and organizations.

The Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau is making a pitch to all 330 residents and employers to show their area pride through wearing locally themed t-shirts to work on 330 Day – Friday, March 30.

People are urged to break out old favorites like high school, little league, or local band tees, or to purchase a new shirt from one of the many great local t-shirt producers or retailers. It doesn't matter what kind of shirt it is as long as they love it, and it represents the 330 – that makes the options endless.

330 Shirt Day will be accompanied by a social media campaign highlighting businesses that make and sell Summit County themed shirts. Everyone is also encouraged to use the hashtag, #330ShirtDay, to discuss what their favorite local shirts are and what they may wear. On the big day the hashtag can be used to share selfies and photos of co-workers showing their 330 pride.

“Dress down days are far and few in between here at the Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau,” said bureau President & CEO, Gregg Mervis. “I can think of no better way to show our 330 pride.”
