Have you ever wondered what library books do at night? Do they relax after a day of standing so stiff and polite? Are they in need of some space from being tucked in so tight? Maybe they jump from to shelf looking to play and fight? Whatever they do you can see for yourself at the Library’s Late Night!

Join us at Main Library for a special Late Night at the Library experience on Friday, October 1!

There are a number of special events scheduled throughout the evening –  watch a special movie, speak to genealogy experts, listen to spooky travel stories, or tour the TechZone. Plus, all materials will be available for checkout!

Library staff, Summit County Genealogy Society volunteers and other local experts will offer general geneaology research assistance, help with your DNA genetic genealogy questions, and offer membership information. Spend some time in the TechZone, first floor of Main Library, to learn about how the staff and services available there can help preserve and share your family history. Late Night Movie

Kickoff October with a special late night screening of the cult classic The Nightmare Before Christmas. What could be better than Halloween? Maybe Christmas? That’s what Jack Skellington, The Pumpkin King, thinks when he discovers Christmas Town.  But his quest to create a new Halloween Town celebration goes a little haywire. More information, including a link to register to attend, is here:

Spooky Travel Stories

Tales of adventures prowling around haunted towers, crumbling castles, and ghoulish graveyards, Katherine Kerestman takes us on a deliciously macabre journey to destinations near and far in Creepy Cat’s Macabre Travels: Salem Past and Present. So come downtown and grab a bite. Then head to the library for a fun Friday night!
