NITE CLUB Cleveland’s Premier All-Star SKA, Rocksteady, and Reggae Band.

The world first took notice of PUBLIC SQUARES when the mysterious new band played an opening set before the legendary Descendents at Cleveland's House of Blues. Since then, they’ve shared stages with punk institutions including The Queers, The Dickies and The Adolescents, while developing a catchy, driving strain of post-punk they’ve come to call Heavy New Wave.

Their recorded history began with NWR&P, an official Record Store Day release pressed on an appropriately peculiar piece of 8-inch square vinyl. That was followed by From Up There, an ambitious concept record featuring a gaggle of guest stars including Descendents drummer Bill Stevenson, Giant Drag's Annie Hardy and Cleveland hardcore mainstay Tony Erba. Their third album, Hits!, arrived in early 2023. A fourth full length record titled Clear Age has just been completed, with release plans currently being plotted.

Somewhere along the way, the story of Public Squares became a little harder to verify.

Depending on which version you believe, they may be aliens, interdimensional travelers, time travelers, or possibly a cult. The band has done very little to clear up the confusion.

What can be confirmed is a trail of records, shows and strange transmissions emanating from Cleveland, Ohio, all connected by big hooks, restless energy and post-punk vibes.

Everything else remains under investigation.

Jupiter2 Intergalactic Surf & Turf

Jupiter 2 i
s a three-piece instrumental caper, fusing the echo-soaked swagger of surf rock with the hypnotic pulse of deep-space grooves. Emerging from Akron, Ohio’s underground scene, the band features drummer Mark Smith (Dutch Babies, Nite Klub, X_x), guitarist James Millar (Missile Toe, Peep), and bassist Linda Millar (The Crones, Peep)—all veterans of genre-bending projects like Zen Luv Assassins and the F-Models tribute band, S’Not Right.

Their sound is a cinematic collision of vintage sci-fi soundscapes, relentless rhythms, and otherworldly energy—equal parts beach party and alien abduction. Whether you’re catching a wave on some distant ocean planet or navigating Akron’s Route 8 at warp speed, Jupiter 2’s Intergalactic Surf & Turf is the ultimate soundtrack for your next cosmic adventure.
