Join us for a special screening of several ReelAbilities Films either directed by women or about women.

Now an annual Akron event, ReelAbilities Film Festival: Cleveland @ Akron promotes awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories, and artistic expressions of people with different abilities through film and community.

Join us for a special screening of several ReelAbilities Films followed by Full Picture subject/producer Santina Muha and director Jacob Reed as they join us for a thought-provoking conversation about biases, ableism, and privilege. 

Santina Muha is and actress and producer, known for One Day at a Time (2017), Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far on Foot (2018) and Greener Grass (2019). 

Jacob Reed is a writer, producer, and director known for his comedic and commercial work. 

How Much Am I Worth? 

Director: Rachel Handler

This stirring documentary explores the failings of the U.S. health system through the lens of four women with disabilities. (5 min)

Director: Ashley Eakin

A film that confronts the complexities of being disabled and dating. Kim, who was born with one arm, gets set-up to go on a blind date. When she finally meets Jake, she quickly realizes he also has a physical disability, and she is pissed. (14 min)

Verisimilitude 

Director: David Proud

An unemployed disabled actress is frustrated as all the disabled acting jobs go to able bodied actors. She gets a job as an advisor to a spoilt up and coming British film star advising him how to be disabled for his latest role, which might just win him a BAFTA. (13 min)

Full Picture

Director: Jacob Reed

Santina has been in a wheelchair since she was six years old. With meetings, hangouts, and classes happening virtually due to the Coronavirus quarantine, she's experiencing something new: Choosing when (or if) to disclose her disability.  (12 min)
