O'Neil's Building (office)

222 S Main St  Get Directions
Akron, OH 44308

One of the high points of going downtown in the mid-1900’s was a stop at the O’Neil’s department store. The store, on the banks of the Ohio & Erie Canal, closed its doors in 1988 and the 800,000 square foot building was donated to the city. The O’Neil’s building was renovated by Akron’s oldest law firm, Roetzel & Andress, and, after $30 million of improvements, the building reopened in the new millennium with space for offices and restaurants.

The renovated O’Neil’s building is a beautiful Class A office building of over 267,000 SF. The interior building finishes feature mahogany woodwork, terrazzo and marble flooring. An attached covered parking garage owned by the City of Akron offers easy access and maneuverability for tenants and visitors. The office space offers numerous options for a prestigious entry. Currently the configuration offers both private offices and an open work space environment.
