Akron Zoo offers new winter event

Visitors can get out of the cold this winter and step into the cool at the Akron Zoo with their new event, Fun Zone. Fun Zone runs Saturdays and Sundays, Jan. 12 – Feb. 10 from 1 – 4 p.m.

Located inside Komodo Kingdom, Fun Zone features up-close animal encounters, giant games, a sports station, plus crafts and other creative activities.

The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Winter hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and admission is $7 per person. Children under two are free and parking is $3. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call 330-375-2550.
