Akron Zoo event, Penguin Palooza, to return due to popular demand

The Akron Zoo is bringing back a popular event, Penguin Palooza, in November. Penguin Palooza will run Saturdays, Nov. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

During the event, guests can create a penguin craft while enjoying a cup of free hot chocolate. Penguin feeds are also available for purchase for $3 each, while supplies last. Meet and greets with a penguin costume character will also be available.

Penguin lovers can adopt the zoo’s penguins through the zoo’s Care for Critter program. As part of Penguin Palooza, the zoo is offering a special promotion where the $75 Care for Critter package will be available for $50. This promotion will only be available at the Akron Zoo during the event. Care for Critter packages help provide the animals with food, habitat maintenance and medical care.
