The Ohio Shakespeare Festival regards the actors, the script, and the audience as the quintessential elements of the theatre. As a professional theatre company, we are dedicated to articulating the inherently theatrical components of Shakespeare and his fellow playwrights throughout the ages in a manner that enables the collected imaginations of the artists to meet the collective imagination of the audience in a public celebration that transforms the world in which we live.
As we move into our new indoor and year-round venue at Greystone Hall, we will continue to perform classics and modern classics meant to uplift, inspire, and embolden our community. We will continue to offer live, accessible, and exciting Shakespeare under the stars each summer at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. Our newly extended season, beginning in Fall 2016, allows us to expand our programming to include more playwrights, genres, and community events. We are so very excited to share our joy, our love, ourselves with Akron.
