A season finale with everything: a video-game phenomenon, the poetry of Edgar Allan Poe, a chorus and orchestra at full force, and Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony. The evening begins with Baba Yetu, Christopher Tin’s Grammy Award-winning song from the video game Civilization IV, later celebrated in a Golden Buzzer performance on America’s Got Talent. The Chorus joins an enormous orchestra for Rachmaninoff’s The Bells, his sweeping choral symphony inspired by Poe’s poem. The season closes with more than a bang…an eruption! Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony pits the recurring forces of Fate against some of the most passionate and exhilarating music of the Romantic era, building to a finale of breathtaking intensity and hard-won triumph. We guarantee you’ll walk away from this one feeling inspired and completely unstoppable.
