Movies@Main for the Holidays
Relax in Main Library’s 400-seat auditorium. Enjoy movies every Sunday at 2 pm. Free parking is available in the High/Market deck on weekends.

December 4, 2 pm: Comfort and Joy (1984) Director Bill Forsyth's (Local Hero) underrated Christmastime comedy about a broken-hearted Scottish DJ (Bill Paterson) who inadvertently gets involved with feuding Italian ice cream vendors. Also starring Claire Grogan from Altered Images, with an atmospheric score by Mark Knopfler, PG, 106 min.

December 11, 2 pm: Holiday Inn (1942) The musical classic about an inn only open on holidays, starring Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, and Marjorie Reynolds, 100 min.

December 18, 2 pm: Miracle on 34th Street (1947) Edmund Gwenn plays the Macy's store Santa who claims to be the real deal. With 9-year-old Natalie Wood as the daughter of the skeptical woman who hired him,  96 min.

December 25: No movie - the Library is closed.
