Trained volunteer lawyers and law students will assist with expungement, CQE, clemency, license restoration, & more. No registration; clinic may end before 1 pm if capacity is reached.

 

University of Akron School of Law's Re-entry Clinic for October is hosted at Akron-Summit County Public Library's Main location!

In one-on-one sessions, individuals with criminal records will have the opportunity to seek assistance with:

  • Certificate of Qualification for Employment (CQE, please bring information for employment history, three non-relative references, & three family references),
  • clemency (please visit https://www.drc.ohio.gov/clemency to learn about the pardon process),
  • expungement & sealing (the law has changed & you might qualify for sealing even if you did not qualify in the past),
  • license restoration (clinic cannot pay associated fees),
  • and more!
