From a new generation of black voices
Two of today’s most exciting operatic voices — soprano Brandie Inez Sutton and baritone Justin Austin — celebrate those who paved the way for black singers. Joined by a string quartet and Damien Sneed on piano, they’ll also weave in favorites by Handel, Puccini, Gershwin, Harry T. Burleigh (on our series in 1919).
