The Akron-Summit County Public Library, in partnership with Ohio Goes to the Movies, presents a free screening of Jim Jarmusch's "Down By Law."

Enjoy Ohio's contributions to the film industry with this special Ohio Goes to the Movies™ (OGTTM) screening of "Down By Law," directed by Ohio-born Jim Jarmusch. OGTTM, a Signature Event of America 250-Ohio, is a statewide celebration of movies showcasing Ohioans: actors, directors, writers, composers, locations, and topics, shown in cities and towns across the state in all 88 counties.

Join us before the screening for a reception including free food, drinks, and giveaways of Blu-ray's and newly commissioned "Down by Law" movie posters from artist Shane Lewis. The movie starts at 2 pm with an introduction from Mike Wendt of the Greater Cleveland Film Commission.

Stay after the screening for a journey through Northeast Ohio movie history presented by the Western Reserve Historical Society.
