Step back in time to the golden age of silent film in the roaring twenties as Akron’s premier 50 member orchestra, the Akron Pops Orchestra brings Roscoe Arbuckle’s 1916 reconstructed comedy classic The Waiter’s Ball to life with a thrilling live soundtrack. Performed in the stunning and historic Akron Civic Theatre, this one-of-a-kind event pairs slapstick brilliance with the magic of a full orchestra. Led by composer, symphonic & operatic conductor Victor T. Anstine, the Akron Pops cleverly synchronizes music and motion, recreating the authentic silent-film experience as audiences would have enjoyed it over a century ago.

Don’t miss this rare evening where cinema history, live music, and timeless comedy collide on the programs second half. To begin the evening, the orchestra will perform your favorite Cinema Classics such as music from “TITANIC”, “Fiddler on the Roof”, “Mr. Holland’s Opus” and many more!
