April's showing of Cinema at the Civic is a participating event in Ohio Goes to the Movies™ (OGTTM), a statewide celebration of movies showcasing Ohio’s contributions to America’s film industry and moviemaking. A Signature Event of America 250-Ohio!
Cinema at the Civic is a free-admission, family movie series celebrating the Akron Civic Theatre’s roots as a classic movie house, inviting families to enjoy a film together under the Civic’s iconic, star-lit ceiling.

Each event includes free popcorn, live organ music before the movie, and rotating, family-friendly activities such as crafts, face painting, or character meet-and-greets. Doors open 1 hour prior to screening time.
