Black Diamonds 2026 Women’s Conference “Let Us BE…Free”, creates a safe space for Black women to BE themselves. Founded in 2017, Black Diamonds Women’s Initiative recognized locally and nationally for its impact, outreach and centering the African American women’s experience. This conference exemplifies the core mission of the Black Diamonds Women’s Initiative. The conference is designed to bring women together to inform, empower, engage, encourage and uplift each other.
Grounded and guided by Linda Lanier’s childhood in East Cleveland, Ohio, and her work in education for over forty years. Black Diamonds came to being as Linda’s engagement with Black Women and girls revealed a consistent thread of “battle fatigue”. Black Diamonds was created by a group of like-minded women who determined to use the Initiative as a mechanism, a safe space for Black women and girls. A space to breathe, to celebrate, revitalize and to see themselves in purpose, position, and power.
