Every three months, Akron ArtWalk is held in the Historic Arts District on Friday nights. Community members are invited to downtown Akron to celebrate and enjoy food, music, art, and more. Each ArtWalk will have a specific theme that engages visitors with the arts in new ways.

Other participants include Summit ArtSpace, Akron Art Museum, and the Nightlight Cinema.

For our December ArtWalk, Main Library will offer a free performance by Mark Greer. A native of Akron, Mark Greer graduated from Bowling Green State University with a B.M., magna cum laude, in Music Performance, and Kent State University with a Master of Music in Piano. Praised as a “visionary musician… with masterful playing, which was perceptive, brilliant and elegant, showing a musical intelligence beyond his years,” Greer is an accomplished pianist and composer, winning top prizes in numerous competitions and performing all over the country.
