Celebrate spooky season with the Supertonics Flute Ensemble as they present music, poetry, and stories with seasonal visuals. Come in costume and meet the performers at a reception afterwards.
This year’s concert features music by Camille Saint-Saëns, Phyllis Louke, Carl Stalling, Ruben Flores and others; poetry by William Shakespeare, Robert Frost, and Hugh Means; and Walt Disney's animated cartoon, "The Skeleton Dance," accompanied by The Supertonics. This special event will appeal to Halloween fans of all ages.
The Supertonics Flute Ensemble is a volunteer flute choir with more than 35 members from a seven-county region of Northeast Ohio. Musicians from diverse backgrounds come together to share their love of the flute. Incorporating flutes of all sizes creates a rich, varied sound and allows the ensemble to perform music often associated with larger groups. Led by Music Director Dr. Janet Becker, the ensemble presents engaging programs that blend music, poetry, narration, art, and video into a unique multimedia experience.
