Join us to celebrate the publication of "40 Over 40: A Poetry Anthology." Some of the poets will be reading their featured work from the anthology.

"40 Over 40: A Poetry Anthology," is an ArtForward grant project, edited and coordinated by Theresa Gottl Brightman.

This anthology of poetry, featuring writers over the age of 40, showcases some of the best local poets who have had time and experience to hone their craft, or who have started exploring the art of poetry later in life.

Theresa Gottl Brightman won first place the first time she competed in a poetry slam and has since competed in local and regional slams, including the 2012 National Poetry Slam. Her poems have appeared in many online and print publications, two chapter books, and one full-length collection. She has received awards from the University of Akron, the city of Ventura, and the Cleveland Museum of Art, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, the Rhysling Award, and Best of the Net honors.

The publication, "40 Over 40: A Poetry Anthology," will be available for purchase during this event. All proceeds from book sales will be donated to Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank.
