“The Velveteen Rabbit” will be performed at The Center (118 W. Market St. • Akron, OH 44303) over two weekends, beginning Friday, February 14th and ending on Sunday, February 23rd. Tickets are $15.00 and are available now at

“Once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.”

True love comes in many forms– many of which are not romantic-type loves. “The Velveteen Rabbit” is a story about the transformative power of love and the magic of childhood.

Incorporating pieces of Margery William's beautiful text and Americana songs, Wandering Aesthetics’ The Velveteen Rabbit  is a unique and playful journey into the imagination of a child, devised entirely by the young ensemble.

Wandering Aesthetics’ 2018 youth adaptation of “The Jungle Book” was nominated for 11 Ohio Youth Arts Awards, including “Best Play” and “Best Director”.
