Vantage Aging Welcomes Lisa Mansfield as Director of Development and Community Partnerships
Akron, OH (3/27/2023): Lisa Mansfield is joining Vantage Aging as Director of Development and Community Partnerships. Mansfield joins the team following six years as Community Outreach Specialist with the Summit County Probate Court.
In her new role, Mansfield will be responsible for the agency’s public relations and advancement efforts and for establishing and maintaining community partnerships aligned with the agency’s mission that every older adult has the opportunity to live a healthy life and age with independence, purpose, and dignity.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lisa to the Vantage team. With her wealth of knowledge and experience and clear commitment to advancing the agency’s mission, we are confident she will be highly successful in her new role,” said Kim Ventresca, CEO of VANTAGE Aging.
A graduate of Akron’s North High School and the University of Akron, Mansfield brings a lifetime of service to Akron and Summit County. In addition to her work with the court, she served as Managing Director of Weathervane Playhouse after first working in the education and box office departments along with other roles where she managed grants and funding.
She was elected three times (12 years total) to serve on the Akron Board of Education, which included two years as the board’s president and two as vice president. She believes in building strong relationships with stakeholders and community leaders alike.
While serving the Probate Court, Mansfield took great pride in shepherding the transformation of the historic Summit County Courthouse via a visual art installation funded by a Knight Arts Challenge grant and matching funds. She also oversaw an additional grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to help improve cooperation between the Court, Prosecutor’s Office, and Adult Protective Services, addressing the protection of some of Summit County’s most vulnerable citizens.
Mansfield helped create the annual Senior Summit event with a committee of agency leaders from various private, public, and non-profit sector organizations. This annual conference and biannual expo bring unmatched services and information to area older adults and relevant stakeholders.
“I am excited to join Vantage Aging, an agency with a deep-rooted commitment to serving our senior community,” shared Mansfield. “ I hope to bring my professional experience in public service, development, and outreach as well as my love for building relationships to assist even more seniors and their families across our region.”
