Two Day Senior Summit to be Held May 13-14

Includes Professional Conference and Community Expo

 

(Summit County, Ohio- March 2022) – The annual Senior Summit returns on Friday, May 13, and Saturday, May 14, 2022, when professionals and the community come together to celebrate senior adults and learn about services and opportunities in Summit County.  Friday will consist of a professional conference providing CEU/CLE-level sessions held from 8:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at St George Fellowship Centre.  Saturday is a free senior expo featuring a grab-and-go breakfast, lunch provided by Vantage Aging Meals on Wheels, breakout sessions, entertainment, and services for seniors and those who love them from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Firestone High School CLC.

The May 13th hybrid conference targets professionals who work with seniors, their families, and service providers,  discussing the current and future needs of seniors in Summit County and beyond.  This includes but is not limited to social workers, guardians, attorneys, nurses, and nursing home administrators.  The Conference is seeking approval for 5.5 – 6.0 CLE credits for attorneys and CEUs for social workers and RN reciprocal.  All sessions have been approved by Summit County Probate Court for all attorney and non-attorney guardian training as required under the Supreme Court of Ohio Rules of Superintendence 66.01 through 66.09. 

Registration for either online participation or in-person including CEU/CLEs is $90.  In-person participation includes breakfast and lunch.  Information on sessions and registration can be found at https://bit.ly/seniorsummitconference.

The May 14th free senior expo is open to the public and will include booths, break-out sessions, entertainment, and other activities focused on seniors and their families.  In addition to free admission, coffee, grab-and-go breakfast items, and lunch will be available free to the first 500 attendees.  Booths will provide services on the spot for seniors or caregivers.
