The Nightlight Prepares for Expansion.

Akron, Ohio 9/9/2022 — The Nightlight – Akron's 501(c)(3) arthouse theater nestled in the heart of Akron's Historic Arts District – is gearing up for a capital campaign to support an expansion.

Adding a second screening room has always been a part of The Nightlight's vision. "There is an abundance of independent and arthouse films at our fingertips that we want you to experience with us. A second screen will allow us to build upon the Nightlight's legacy and continue to champion The Nightlight's
mission – bringing the community together through cinema," said Jenn Kidd, Executive Director.

The capital campaign will begin this fall, with a goal to start construction in early 2023. The Nightlight seeks to raise $400,000 for the expansion.
