The Development Finance Authority Welcomes Tracy Dowe, New Board Member and Recognizes Former Board Member Joe Dancy for 20 Years of Service

Akron, Ohio (October 2020) — Joining the Board is Tracy Dowe, Relationship Manager and Vice President of Commercial Banking at KeyCorp, where he provides financial expertise, counsel, and customized solutions to business clients. He was appointed to the board by Summit County Executive, Ilene Shapiro. Tracy provides DFA with over 18 years of financial services experience and extensive knowledge of the Northeast Ohio Market.

Tracy earned his B.S. in Finance from The University of Akron where he was a 4-year letter winner as a varsity soccer player; and has his M.B.A. from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University with a concentration in Finance.

Tracy is a graduate of Leadership Akron and is very active in the Akron community, serving on the boards of the United Way of Summit County, Secured Finance Network, Boys & Girls Club of the Western Reserve, and The Greater Akron Musical Association.

Tracy replaced long time Board member, Joe Dancy, Chief Tire Analysis Engineer from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Joe was appointed to the board in 1999 and has served as Board Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair. In addition, Joe was an initial Board member of the Development Fund of the Western Reserve (DFWR) the New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC) entity for DFA. During Joe’s tenure, DFA became one of the most respected finance agencies in the country. Summit County Executive, Ilene Shapiro, honored Joe’s commitment to DFA and our community by declaring September 14 th , 2020 as Joseph G. Dancy Day in Summit County.
