The BOX Gallery presents ArtPrize in the BOX

From Friday, Sept. 13 through Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, The BOX Gallery in downtown Akron is proud to present: ArtPrize in the BOX. Meet the exhibiting artists at the opening reception on Friday, Sept. 13 from 5-8 p.m.

ArtPrize in the BOX is an all-media show of work by northeast Ohio artists. Seventy works of art by 45 artists are included. In flavor, this show is a condensed version of the Akron Art Prize and the High Arts Festival that have brought together artists from northeast Ohio and surrounding areas.

Juror John Sokol will select first, second, and third prize winners. In addition, the voting public will select a People’s Choice award. All awards will be announced at the closing on Saturday, Oct. 5.

The BOX Gallery is free and open to the public. Extended hours for this show include Thursdays and Fridays,12-7 p.m. and Saturdays, 12-5 p.m., 3rd Thursday (Sept. 19, 4-7 p.m.), and Akron Artwalk (Saturday, Oct. 5, 5-9 p.m.).
