Team USA Brings Home 8 medals from Salzburg, Austria at the 2021 World Martial Arts Championships
Savage MMA’s Team USA brings home 8 medals from Salzburg Austria at the 2021 World Martial Arts Championships to represent the City of Akron.
AKRON, Ohio – Oct., 8, 2021 – Four members of Savage MMA travelled to Salzburg, Austria to compete in the World Martial Arts Championships. All four members earned an accolade at this competition.
Accolades:
Sophia Poirier (Age 13) - Won 2 Bronze Medals in kickboxing and kick light division
Stephanie Lechecka - Won 2 gold and 1 silver medal in boxing, sport jiu-jitsu and MMA
Bryan Carpenter - Won 2 Gold in open weight inclusion kickboxing and boxing
Joshua Hillman - Won 1 Gold and 1 silver in MMA and sport jiu-jitsu
The team has been preparing for this trip for around 6 months and has spent countless hours in the gym training to represent Team USA and Savage MMA.
Team USA spent three days competing in various competitions against some of the best in the world. All 4 members that represented Team USA are locals to the area and members of Gotham Gym and Savage MMA.
