Community Support Services provides healthcare and hope for adults living with severe and persistent mental illnesses in Summit County. Curated Courthouse provides respite and representation throughout the courthouse bringing awareness of both local professional and community artists to the public eye.
“Many clients of CSS use the Expressive Arts Therapy program to express ideas that might be difficult to put into words,” shared Michael Gaffney, Director of Marketing & Development for Community Support Services. “Utilizing the creative process and the resulting artwork, therapists help clients explore feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, manage behavior and addictions, develop social skills, improve reality orientation, reduce anxiety, and increase self-esteem.”
