May 10, 2020, Akron, Ohio — Summit Choral Society (SCS) is broadening its music education curriculum! DrumSing is an innovative hybrid musical experience for high school age youth and young adults, combining traditional drumline with vocalized melodies.

Designed to complement Summit Choral Society’s current programming, which includes the nationally recognized, award-winning Children's Choir Program, sing with me (early childhood music) Akron City Gospel Singers and Metropolitan Chorus, this musical program is influenced by traditional cadences, various pop & rock music with a multi-cultural flair.  "I am very excited about joining the extremely talented team of musicians at Summit Choral Society. DrumSing will be great vehicle to highlight the young artists of the greater Akron community with drumming. DrumSing is a unique ensemble in a genre all its own, drawing on skills in both percussion and vocals.
