METRO RTA to Present Draft of 10-Year Strategic Plan Through a Series of Public Webinars; Seeks Feedback from the Community

September 15, 2020, Akron, OH — METRO Regional Transit Authority is creating a Strategic Plan to guide the organization throughout the next 10 years and will share its ideas through a series of live webinars. METRO’s Strategic Plan was developed by combining community feedback with a thorough review of agency data.

“We are grateful to our team members, community members and leaders, and METRO’s Board of Trustees for supporting our goal to change in order to meet the dynamic needs of our community,” said METRO CEO Dawn Distler. “We are confident these ideas and suggestions we’re proposing in this round of outreach will offer an exceptional framework for our future. We look forward to receiving feedback, which has been and will continue to be a vital component of our strategic planning process.”

METRO will host live webinars with interactive questions. The recorded webinar sessions will be shared subsequently to allow those who are unable to attend the webinars to participate. After receiving public feedback, a summary of this input will be presented to METRO’s Board of Trustees at the regularly scheduled board meeting on Tuesday, October 27.

Register for and attend a live webinar. Live webinars will be hosted Wednesday, September 23 from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. or Tuesday, September 29 from 6 – 7 p.m.
