Local Startups to Be Featured at Second Annual Bounce Innovation Hub Startup Showcase
Members of the community are invited to connect online with Bounce's most promising startups
AKRON, OHIO (Oct. 6, 2020) – Bounce Innovation Hub announces the return of its annual Startup Showcase on Thurs., Oct. 15, 6:30-7:30 p.m. This free, virtual event gives the Northeast Ohio community the opportunity to connect with some of the organization’s most promising startups representing each of Bounce’s six programs.
These programs include the Bounce software accelerator, technology incubator and MAGNET Iterator, as well as three GROW programs for non-technology entrepreneurs – Aspiring Entrepreneur, MORTAR at Bounce and Next Level Incubator.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and government safety guidelines, this year’s event will be held online. Participants will join Bounce on Zoom or Facebook Live to learn more about Bounce’s companies and programs. Guests can register for the Zoom call at EventBrite: https://startupshowcase2020.
The seven featured companies, and the programs they represent, are:
- LoveSync – a communication app that helps couples maximize the romantic possibilities of their relationship by discreetly letting each know when their moods are matched. LoveSync is a technology incubator client and recent software accelerator graduate.
- Argyle Scientific – patented nanotechnology to prevent infections caused by orthopedic devices. Argyle is a technology incubator client.
- NelDerm – wound dressings for sensitive or fragile skin. NelDerm is a technology incubator client.
- S4 Mobile Laboratories – device that locates human burial sites in shallow subsurface soil. S4 is a technology incubator and MAGNET Iterator client
- 1body Athletics – a performance training and basketball event company that offers elite training in football, cross country, basketball and general fitness. 1body is a graduate of the Aspiring Entrepreneur program, a GROW program.
- Julia Belle’s Seasonings, Rubs & Mixes – line of hand-blended, 100-percent natural seasonings, rubs and mixes. Julia Belle’s is a recent MORTAR graduate, a GROW program
- White Glove Cleaning Solutions – business, residential and commercial cleaning, janitorial and organizational service. White Glove is a Next Level incubator client, a GROW program
Ace Epps, Bounce director of inclusive entrepreneurship and Dan Hampu, Fontus Blue COO and executive director of the Student Venture Fund will be the emcees for the night, reporting live from Bounce’s first-floor Generator space.
Bounce Innovation Hub is the region’s first open innovation hub serving Northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurial and innovation community. Located in Akron, its space comprises more than 300,000 square feet of coworking, event and meeting space, plus office, lab, and light manufacturing space, and it houses more than 50 organizations in the building.
