Leadership Akron now accepting applications for 2019-2020 Signature Program

Leadership Akron is now accepting applications for its 2019-2020 Signature Program Class 36. Leadership Akron’s Signature Program is the Akron community’s foremost leadership experience, preparing participants for heightened involvement and leadership in the community. The program enables participants to grow their impact as community leaders, offering behind-the-scenes learning experiences and interaction with top decision-makers, while learning to appreciate the diverse perspectives of their classmates.

“Leadership Akron brings together leaders across sectors who have a shared commitment to make a lasting impact on our community,” says Barry Dunaway, Leadership Akron’s president. “The Signature Program exposes participants to critical elements of the community, gives them the opportunity to hear from top leaders of organizations and the key issues they are addressing, and creates a collaborative spirit amongst peers to maximize their community impact.”

The program begins with a two-day opening retreat. Following the retreat, participants spend one full day each month addressing a specific aspect of the community.

Individuals who work or live in Summit County may apply. Those interested in learning more can join us for an informational reception on April 3 at 5:30 p.m. Application, reception and additional information can be found on the Leadership Akron website at www.leadershipakron.org/signatureprogram.

Deadline for application submission is April 19, 2019.
