Akron's revitalizing downtown corridor is now home to Indulge Chocolates at 209 S. Main St. The shop is the newest client in Downtown Akron Partnership’s pop-up program and proudly serves unique chocolates alongside Chill Ice Cream's artisan flavors.

“Indulge Chocolates is the spirited younger sister company of Chill Artisan Ice Cream Co,” says Patrick Jaworski, co-owner.

“Our goal is to take Ohio by storm one legendary flavor at a time. We have set the bar high to offer only the finest chocolates to satisfy the palates of adults as well as children alike,” Jaworski, the youngest brother, said. “We use local fresh ingredients from many fantastic farms and businesses across Ohio to achieve the highest quality fruits, nuts and cream for their chocolates.”

Some of the unique flavors include:

  • Raspberry Rose Fennel
  • Cherry Vanilla Pink Peppercorn
  • Peanut Butter and Toasted Corn Milk Chocolate
  • Coffee Cardamom Dark Chocolate
  • Banana Toffee Sea Salt
  • Honey Orange Rosemary

Along with some of the more common flavors:

  • Toasted Almond Sea Salt Dark Chocolate

“We would love for you to join us for a tasting and a tour of the newly renovated facility that is directly across from Lock 3,” says Jaworski.

The Downtown Akron Partnership pop-up program began in 2015 and provides rental assistance for the first six months to new businesses in the district. Since its inception, more than 40 new businesses have opened and range from retail and businesses, to vendors in the Northside Marketplace. Phase four is supported by Burton D. Morgan Foundation. Any new business, not just retail storefronts, interested in space within the Special Improvement District is eligible for the program.
