Downtown@Dusk Summer Concert Series Returns for Its 38th Season

June 2, 2020, Akron, OH – The Akron Art Museum’s Downtown@Dusk concert series will be returning to the Bud and Susie Rogers Garden this summer for its 38th season. This year’s series will take place on Thursdays during the month of July with four concerts from Thursday, July 7 through Thursday, July 28. Each week, watch as local performers light up the Downtown@Dusk stage with their musical talents from 6:30–8:00 pm. Gallery admission and Downtown@Dusk concerts are free and performances will be held rain or shine. The Museum will also offer a Members Appreciation Night on Thursday, July 7 beginning at 5:30, which includes a custom AAM Centennial ice cream flavor, cake, drinks, and a commemorative centennial collectible. 

Museum Director Jon Fiume stated, “We are thrilled to bring back the Downtown@Dusk series this summer. This has been a long-standing favorite summer event to experience in Akron. I can’t wait for the opportunity to join visitors in the garden for the wonderful performances by local musicians.”

The concert series will feature a diverse group of artists, ranging from Reggae performers, to Rock, Americana, and more! This year’s lineup includes new bands to the Downtown@Dusk stage as well as some longtime favorites. Visit akronartmuseum.org/downtown-at-dusk for detailed information on the performers.

  • Anne E. DeChant (Americana, singer-songwriter) - July 7, 2022
  • Chris Coles' Gleam (Jazz-fusion originals) - July 14, 2022
  • 15 60 75 Numbers Band (Blues, Jazz, Rock) - July 21, 2022
  • Umojah Nation (Inspired reggae) - July 28, 2022
