City of Akron Offices Closed for Business on Monday, September 7th in Observance of Labor Day

Akron, Ohio, September 2, 2020 – All municipal offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2020 in observance of Labor Day. As a reminder, physical access to municipal buildings remains very limited during the City’s response to COVID-19, and will remain limited until further notice. City offices and services are still accessible via the phone, website, and email, but will be closed for business on Monday, September 7th.

There will be no curb service on Monday, September 7. There will be a one-day delay of trash/recycle collections for the remainder of the week, with curb service resuming on Tuesday, September 8. We also urge all our residents to remember that COVID-19 still poses a serious threat to the health of our community, and to limit gatherings, wear masks, and practice diligent hand hygiene to prevent the spread of this virus.”
