Akron Zoo to ring in 2019 with new event

The Akron Zoo will host a brand new event called Zoo Year’s Eve on Monday, Dec. 31. The entire zoo will be open extended hours of 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., with activities from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

During the event, guests can enjoy various crafts, live music, a resolution wall and animal encounters. At the stroke of noon, the zoo will drop a ball “zoo style” to ring in the new year. Special appetizers and adult and kid-friendly beverages will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $7 per person and the event is free for Akron Zoo members. Tickets are available online at akronzoo.org or at the zoo.
