Akron Zoo to offer St. Patrick’s Day celebration

The Akron Zoo will be offering a family-friendly environment for St. Patrick’s Day on Sunday, March 17. The event includes extended evening hours of 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Guests can enjoy crafts, a shamrock scavenger hunt, a selfie station and up-close animal encounters. Green animal enrichment will be given to the animals and our green mascot Conrad Conservation will be making an appearance. There will also be kid-friendly and adult-only beverages available for purchase.

The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Winter hours are 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and admission is $7 per person. Children under two are free and parking is $3. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call 330-375-2550.
