Akron Zoo to Offer Drive-Through Tours of Wild Lights

November 20, 2020, AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is adding a new exclusive experience to their Wild Lights event. Wild Lights Safari Tours is a private golf cart tour of the holiday event. Safari Tours are available on Dec. 4-5, 11-12 and 18-22 at 7:45 and 8:45 p.m.

On the Safari Tours, a zoo staff member will drive the guests throughout the park decorated in dazzling holiday lights and lights displays. Each guest will receive a complimentary cup of hot chocolate to help stay warm during the tour, and guests – ages 21 and older – can opt in for a complimentary adult jolt in their cocoa.

There are a limited number of tours available and guests will need to book their tour at least 48 hours in advance. Each tour can accommodate up to four people from the same household. ADA-accessible golf cart tours are also available.

Wild Lights Safari Tours are $130 per tour for Akron Zoo members and $150 for non-members. To schedule a tour, guests can visit akronzoo.org.

The Akron Zoo is now open. Current hours are 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and admission is $8 per person. Children under two are free and parking is $3. Tickets must be purchased online in advance. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
