Akron Zoo to Host Trunk Show on December 3

November 24, 2020, AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo will host its annual holiday shopping event on Thursday, Dec. 3 from 4 – 7:30 p.m. The event features booths set up by local artists and vendors in the zoo’s Barnhardt Family Welcome Center. Admission is free for all guests.

This year, the Trunk Show has been adapted to allow for COVID-19 safety precautions. Vendor numbers have been adjusted to ensure room for social distancing and reduced contact. Masks are required for all guests, ages 10 and older.

During the event, the Akron Zoo Gift Shop will be open and all Akron Zoo members receive a special 20% off discount. A portion of Trunk Show sales will benefit the Akron Zoo.

The zoo will not be open during the event, only the Welcome Center and gift shop.

The Akron Zoo remains open as a COVID-compliant outdoor park. Current hours are 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and admission is $8 per person. Children under two are free and parking is $3. Tickets must be purchased online in advance. For more information visit www.akronzoo.org or call (330) 375-2550.
