Akron Zoo to Hold Virtual Auction

AKRON, Ohio – The Akron Zoo is holding a virtual auction. The Animal Art and Gift Auction will feature animal art and items from the zoo’s Gift Shop. Bids open on Friday, May 29 at 9 a.m. and close on Friday, June 5 at 6 p.m.

The items up for bid include various gift packages with Gift Shop items and artwork created by the animal ambassadors at the Akron Zoo. There will also be a ‘buy now’ option for zoo memberships, Care for Critter packages, virtual animal experiences and more.

Shopping in the zoo gift shop is also available by appointment. Appointments are available from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Appointment requests must be received at least 24 hours in advance. Walk-ins will not be accommodated. Appointments are available by calling 330-375-2550 or emailing
