Akron Zoo to celebrate Cinco de Mayo

The Akron Zoo will celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Saturday, May 4. The event offers extended evening hours of 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

Throughout the day, the zoo will offer activities such as animal encounters, a selfie station, trivia wheel, yard games, crafts and more. The Komodo Kingdom Café will offer special menu items, such as tacos and queso. Margaritas, Corona and other adult-only beverages will be offered, as well as kid-friendly drinks.

The Akron Zoo is open 361 days a year. Hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and admission is $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens, $9 for children (ages 2-14). Children under two are free and parking is $3.
